As a key part of our customer service effort, weve
created a tight-knit network of professionals to respond
to every customer need. Specialists in order management,
routing and billing support Account Executives who are strategically
located throughout the country and the world and are available
for in-person discussions. To those two groups, weve
now added Technical Sales Engineers.
Meet the Technical Sales Engineers
Weve captured our Technical Sales Engineers on the
job, researching some of the answers to commonly asked questions:

Paul
Toller 1-860-678-6636
What happens if I run over my new OFS cable with a fork
lift?
Joe
Eversole 1-860-678-6632
I accidentally left my cable out in a rainstormwill
it still work?
Mike
McGrath 1-860-678-6535
My specialty fiber needs to run around several bends in
operation. Is this OK?
In reality, we have ISO-controlled
procedures for determining things like crush resistance,
water resistance, and minimum bend radius. But we wanted
to show you these are real people (with a sense of humor)
who are ready to listen to whatever questions you have about
our products or the real-world applications in which you
use them. Please dont hesitate to call.
Our Technical Sales Engineers have been specifically trained
to understand and respond to complex customer questions
by telephone. TSEs know what youre talking about when
you ask, for example, whether a change in your environments
temperature will affect the performance of the cable you
ordered. They have information on whether a small specification
change from one of our existing fibers is quick and easy
to make or whether it will require a completely new process.
In general, TSEs have a more technical background than our
Customer Relations Representatives do and can answer more
engineering-related questions. They also do much of the
legwork in responding to your Requests For Quotation, researching
the materials and processes involved, as well as examining
whether your request falls within our range of expertise.
If we were to make a handy chart that spelled out whom to
contact, it would look something like this:
